Red states adopt Trump’s efficiency plans

Republican-led states are embracing President-elect Trump’s efforts to slim down government by launching their own versions of the Department of Government Efficiency.

Lawmakers in Arizona, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Wisconsin said this month they will create their own versions of the panel led by billionaire mega-donor Elon Musk and former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

“A government that runs efficiently and effectively is a government that best serves her people,” Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry (R) said in a statement.
