Southern cities top list of nation’s fastest-growing

Six of the 15 fastest-growing cities in America are in Texas.

The population boom across America’s Sun Belt states shows little sign of slowing, led by Texas metropolitan areas that are importing new residents faster than any other region in the nation.

New data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows all but two of the nation’s 15 fastest-growing cities with populations larger than 50,000 residents were in Sun Belt states over the past year. Six of those cities, including four of the five fastest-growing, are in Texas.
