States invest in advanced air mobility for future transportation revolution

Much of the buzz is around vehicles that take off like helicopters but fly like planes.

State leaders are preparing for a future in which goods and people are whisked around by air rather than stuck in traffic.

The emerging field of advanced air mobility envisions a day when heavy-lift drones and lightweight electric or electric-hybrid aircraft traverse the airspace over cities and towns, making deliveries and offering short-hop passenger service.
