Thanksgiving costs fall, except the veggies

Natural disasters contributed to the higher costs of produce.

The cost of Thanksgiving dinner fell 5% from last year, with grocery stores offering low-price deals for turkey to help drive demand as prices for vegetables and other products surge, according to an annual survey conducted by the American Farm Bureau Federation. 

The average cost for a table of classic dishes for 10 people will cost $55.18, down from $58.08 in 2024 and $61.17 in 2023. 2022 marked the record high for Thanksgiving dinner, at $64.08, the survey found.
