Voters pass tax measures in Colorado, Texas

The results handed big wins to legislative leaders.

Voters across two states on Tuesday approved a raft of tax-related measures.

Colorado voters passed tax increases on high-income residents to fund school meals, while Texas voters overwhelmingly approved seven new property tax exemptions and banned the state from imposing certain other taxes.
