What happened to California’s Fast Food Council?

Despite lofty expectations, it has not met in more than a year.

When California leaders in 2023 raised minimum pay for fast food workers and created a Fast Food Council to recommend industry standards, labor groups hailed the council as a potential national model for improving low-wage jobs. 

But so far, the Fast Food Council isn’t living up to those lofty expectations.
