Where anti-abortion advocates will focus in ’25

Lobbying efforts will include abortion medication and responses to ballot measures.

Anti-abortion rights advocates see next year’s legislative sessions as an opportunity to leverage President-elect Trump’s vow to leave reproductive issues to the states.

With abortion banned or mostly banned in almost half the states — and few immediate options to expand that — there is optimism among anti-abortion advocacy groups that a friendly administration will aid their next efforts, including targeting those helping patients and medication travel across state lines.
