White House reverses course, will host bipartisan governors’ meeting

Even after the White House invite, President Trump continued attacking both Democratic and Republican governors.

The White House will host the nation’s governors for a business meeting next week, reversing itself after President Trump disinvited two Democratic governors from the traditionally bipartisan event.

In a letter to fellow governors on Wednesday, Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, a Republican and chairman of the National Governors Association, said the White House would extend invitations to all governors for a breakfast next Friday.
