Zephyr sues state over House GOP censure

The lawsuit argues that House Republicans have violated the state constitution.

Montana Rep. Zooey Zephyr (D) and four of her constituents on Monday sued to lift disciplinary actions that they say have prevented Zephyr from fulfilling her role as an elected representative in the final days of the legislative session.

House Republicans last week voted to ban Zephyr from floor debate and legislative leaders have since moved bills out of committees she sits on.
